  1. I miss pastry - it's too high fat for me now. Those pies look delicious.

  2. Your Leftover Stew pies look so good. Thanks for the link to the pastry recipe, I will try that soon. Also good advice about the rationing, I need to do better at that. I do hide part of the cheese in the refrigerator though...I use it for garnishment for different recipes, but if my husband sees a piece of cheese he will sometimes eat it for a snack. Now I still have a secret stash, ha.

    1. My hubby too is a cheese fiend. He has a big block of Cheddar in the fridge at the moment, as well as his Stilton, when he gets back from work he might find that I've grated it all and stashed it in the freezer ... it's the only way to stop him just cutting a slice off when he gets the nibbles.

  3. Enjoying reading your blog. Well done with the Challenge. Sorry I haven't commented much lately. Still looking after hubby while he recuperates from his surgery. We are still living very frugally so your posts inspire me x

  4. I know that you said two beef burgers were too filling the other day but have you had hungry gaps on this challenge and if so what did you fill them with.

    1. To be honest, no I haven't really been anymore hungry between meals than usual. The couple of times I did feel peckish I had my tub of decanted tinned peaches in the fridge, so I literally had a slice or two out of it and that was enough to tide me over until the next meal. So maybe thinking about it rather than me being hungry it was more of a 'sugar dip'.
