Peanut Butter Balls, Handcream and Dogs

I like peanut butter and I like dark chocolate ... but these peanut butter in dark chocolate balls are too rich for me.  Slowly eating our way through the cupboards brought these to light yesterday and although at first taste they seemed yummy, after two I felt decidedly queasy.  They were a Christmas treat that I won't be buying again.

And that is partly why I decided to do this Challenge to see which out of the mass of foods that we have in our cupboards and freezer would be things that would be needed to be replaced, and which are foods that are really totally unnecessary and will not be replaced once they are used up.

Something that I thought was all used up yesterday was the tube of hand-cream on my desk, although after chopping it in half with scissors I found it to be still almost half full.  I think they make the plastic so purposely thick that it's virtually impossible to squeeze all the product out, hoping that you'll just go out and buy another one.

They don't catch me out this way though, this should last me at least another week.

There's been something else on my desk this week!!

  1. Amazing how much is left in a tube.

Bella looks right at home on your desk.

    God bless.

    1. I really was amazed this time as I was struggling to get any out. Bella is very confident little dog, she seems right at home anywhere 😀

  2. I put a toothpaste squeezer thing on my hand cream that manages to get almost all of it out before I cut it open and there's only a teaspoon or so left. Bella looks so tiny, and so cute!!

    1. That's a good idea, I might just invest in a couple of them 🙂

  3. I always cut any tubes in half; only yesterday I cut open a tube of V1chy rich face cream, and the bottom half was full! That is expensive cream, and I had tried really hard to squeeze out theblast bit through the normal opening.

    1. I had been fighting with this tube for a couple of days, I wonder how much product is thrown away by people who can't be bothered to do this?
