We Are Eating ... Honest!! - A Days Food

After yesterday's post with my minimal breakfast photo, I thought I would redress the balance before my Mum starts thinking I'm on a food deprivation thingy and show the sort of things we are eating over the course of a day.

Firstly the above photo shows our tea the other night, it was delicious and very filling.

And happily it took the fridge drawer from this ...

... to this.

Then yesterday my food choices looked like this.

Breakfast, half a large tin of grapefruit, with the rest saved in the fridge for today, followed half an hour later by a slice of toast with peanut butter.

Lunch was delicious cheese, red onion marmalade and falafel sandwiches ...

... with a couple of tomatoes and of course a black coffee.

And for my tea, the last of the jar of red pesto from the fridge with wholemeal spaghetti and fresh basil leaves from the sad looking plant on the kitchen windowsill.  This is one of our large bowls so it was a very generous portion!

So I am doing my best to chomp my way through the contents of the fridge once again and I'm determined not to shop.  I do find it much easier when Alan is working away as I don't need to venture into the shops for any milk, and of course we all know that it's the actual going in to buy one thing that leads to the temptation to buy more!!

  1. That last statement is so very true. I'm also resisting the temptation to walk down the road for just a few things that I'm out of but - important but - won't need for some days to come because if I do, I may not stick at just those items!

  2. Even going in with a list seems to see a few extras going in the basket, so I definitely know where you are coming from.

    God bless.
