The Challenge is Chosen

Yay ... the Challenge has been chosen.

As you can see from my little 'chart' ... gosh it's all hi-tech here ... the winner, by the narrowest of margins is Yellow Sticker Shopping.

In joint second place we have Cook from One Book and Shopping Hauls  (spend £10 per day in a different shop each day).

In third place we have 50p a Day.

So in the interests of fairness and to thank you all for voting, I will work my way through each of these four winning Challenges first.  I will however hang onto the 'scorecard' and perhaps do the others if you want me to at a later date.

Votes were counted from the comments on the last post and from emails received up to and including this morning.

Voting is now closed ... if you continue to vote your vote will not count but you may still be charged   ... haha just kidding 😆😃🙃

Shocked at the result ... just a bit!!

I was a bit surprised to be honest.  I don't really know what I was expecting but I thought as blogland has a lot of bargain hunting yellow sticker shoppers it may be a bit overkill.  But the majority has spoken and once I've sat and thought about things for a bit, and maybe worked out a few rules etc, I will be out with sharpened elbows fighting through the scrummage at the supermarket seeing what bargains I can pick up to eat and post about.

Just kidding I think I'll do it the civilised way ... maybe I'll start in Marks and Sparks to get the ball rolling.

  2. It'll be interesting to see what you come up with, with whatever YS items you manage to get. We don't get many, mainly because we generally go shopping in the mornings.

  4. I am always fascinated by what people in the UK get on YS! We don't get bargains anywhere near those here. The best I can do on our YS is baked goods at 50% and meat at the same 50% off. I have gotten better at being patient and looking for these items and have a couple of shops that I know to check first. The trick is to be flexible and to be able to use what is available.

    1. We very rarely get good discounts in Calgary either. What used to be 50% off is only 30% off these days. Very little meat, and with only 30% off it is still very expensive.

    2. Margie, we don't have yellow stickers at all in my small city in Saskatchewan. They might in bigger centers here though.

      God bless.

  7. .Looking forward to seeing your ingenious use of yellow stickers, Sue.
To Maggie from Toronto - yellow stickers seem to be more widely available in some parts of the U.K. than others. Apart from one memorable occasion where I bought several boxes of raspberries bought with 80% off, there is usually very little worth having. Sometimes there's only 10% off

  8. Sue, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can get and how you use your goodies. You know I'm a ys shopper I do well on Sunday lunch time in the Co-op it closes at 4pm and used to get 90% discount but the the last 3 weeks it's now 80% still very good. Tesco I get 75% at 7pm, Asda I get 10p items usually bread and chilled cabinet foods, fruit and veg xx

  9. Looking forward to this challenge. We don't have yellow stickers in my city in Canada (though they may in bigger centers), so seeing all the wonderful deals you get is going to make my day.

    God bless.

  10. Looking forward to it!

There are hardly any good discounts or yellow stickers here in Belgium, and the people here don't seem to even buy the discounts, it's weird.
